Our purpose is to provide services that enable your business to meet your growth, retention, training and staffing needs. Our Business Services representatives are available to discuss your specific needs and how our services can best serve you.
All phases of recruitment services are available including: assisting employers with defining job descriptions; listing, collecting and prescreening job applications, cover letters and/or resumes; assisting with scheduling interviews and/or sitting on interview panels. CalJOBS allows you to post job orders, search resumes for qualified applicants, access industry statistics and utilize other resources. Would you prefer our Business Services representatives do the work for you? No problem. We can also directly assist employers by taking the lead to ensure you get the results you want.
Testing and Assessment Services
We have a variety of assessment tools available to businesses to ensure that job seekers are properly prescreened and that only the candidates meeting the employers' needs will be referred. For more information about our Prove It testing system or to see what tests are available, click here.
Wage Reimbursement (On-the-Job Training)
We are able to provide subsidized wage reimbursement to businesses based on their hiring needs. An On-the-Job Training (OJT) opportunity exists when an Employer agrees to hire or promote an employee who meets some of the basic requirements for the job opening, but who needs additional training to perform at the level expected for the position. Employers are reimbursed up to 50% of the wages paid to the employee.

We can help you: plan effectively, comply with federal regulations, reduce stress and assist dislocated workers seeking new jobs. This timely assistance can help you maintain a positive work environment during a difficult period.
Our Business Services representatives are available for on-site presentations. We will meet with you and your staff to provide information on local, state and federal resources for dislocated workers. There is no cost to you or your employees. We share information about: handling job loss and coping with stress, how to apply for Unemployment Insurance (UI), training options and job search assistance, labor market information and regional job industry outlook.
Conference and Interview Facilities
Facilities are available for use during regular business hours. Large and small conference rooms can be reserved for your business meetings. Audio/visual equipment and supplies, such as phone, fax, copier, will be made available.
Business Seminars and Workshops
Business seminars and classes are offered by the Sutter County One Stop, or in partnership with Small Business Development Center, Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce, Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation and other business organizations.
Labor Market Information
Our trained staff is available to assist employers in accessing relevant and current labor market information, such as, Employment Development Department.
A Business Services representative can discuss tax credit programs such as Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) to see if your business is eligible to take advantage of tax incentives to help you save money.
