Sutter Buttes Ag Distribution was founded in 2015 by two lifelong Sutter County families. Sutter Buttes Ag Distribution is a Mahindra Tractor Assembly and Distribution Center.

Partially assembled tractors are received via cargo containers from India, Japan and South Korea.   Our staff completes the assembly by adding tires/wheels, seats, valves, loaders, backhoes, cabs and mowers. The units are then shipped to Dealers across the Western United States and Western Canada.

A major focus for Sutter Buttes Ag Distribution is to help put people from Sutter and Yuba Counties back to work.  The majority of our employees have come from One Stop.  Working with Sutter County One Stop has been a great experience and they have provided some of our best employees!  We are happy to have them on our team when we are in need of quality employees.

Nelson Manufacturing was founded in 1968. Nelson Manufacturing was originally a welding and repair shop. Soon, they started building Land Planes, Orchard Fenders for tractors, heavy duty rear bumpers for pickups then, Vine Seed harvesting equipment including Seed Harvesters, Washers and Driers. Later they also purchased a portion of the Hardie brand sprayers from a company based in Nebraska and renamed their product line “Nelson Hardie”.

Improvements over the years include all stainless steel hoods, doors, panels and plumbing. In the early eighties, Nelson built the first Nelson Spray Cab for orchard and vineyard tractors. Soon after, the cab was tested and certified as a “Roll Over Protective Structure” (ROPS). In 2005, with a new focus toward Operator comfort, they decided to redesign the cab and re-named it the "Orchard Cab". All of Nelson Manufacturing’s product lines have received improvements over the years; always with an emphasis on long lasting durability, superior performance and with attention to operator convenience.

When Nelson Manufacturing found it necessary to add to their growing workforce, they partnered with the Sutter County One Stop to find quality, dependable employees. Sutter County One Stop provided assistance with candidate referrals, the application process, and a skills assessment to find the right candidate for the position. We are grateful to continue to have the opportunity to assist another local business in our community with their hiring needs!
