Job seekers can access a wide range of services at no cost in our Job Central office. Internet access is offered for online job searching. Staff assistance is available to help those job seekers with job search activities such as developing resumes, completing applications, accessing labor market information, skills testing and the ability to obtain certificates of achievement and providing referrals to other agencies and services as needed. Job seekers also have access to partner services including Employment Development Department (EDD), EDD Veteran Program Representative and Department of Rehabilitation. Job Central is normally open Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Seekers can use CalJOBS to look for work from any location 24 hours a day, seven days a week. CalJOBS allows you to search for jobs with various companies all in one place. You are able to create an online application, a resume and apply for positions. You can even utilize the Virtual Recruiter feature to have the system search for jobs for you!
Are you looking for training programs to enter a different career or find a better job? You can search for training programs on CalJOBS too! Additionally, the system will allow you to review the labor market in any local area, occupation or industry.
Assess is a testing system that allows you to take a variety of tests to verify your skills and obtain certificates of achievement. Test results are stored for future use if needed. The Sutter County One Stop currently has four dedicated workstations for testing available on a first come, first serve basis. Skills and behavioral assessments are available for clerical, software, technical, call center, industrial, financial, legal, medical, and more. Assistive Technology Workstation
The Assistive Technology Workstation features a variety of tools to enable individuals with disabilities to access information online. The workstation computer includes a large screen monitor, Dragon Naturally Speaking, Start Nav, Read White Gold, Jaws for Windows, Kurzweil 1000, Read Tec, Zoom Text, Window Eyes, Inspiration & Onscreen Keyboard. The workstation table features adjustable table surfaces for the comfort of each individual user as well as different keyboards.
Video Relay Services Available
Sorenson Video Relay Service (SVRS) provides a new communication tool that allows the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community to communicate effectively and naturally with the hearing world through American Sign Language (ASL). SVRS uses the Internet to provide an audio/video link to a qualified, certified Video Interpreter (VI) who interprets between the visual language of ASL and the auditory language of a hearing person.
