The Community Housing Improvement Program is currently hiring for a Landscape/ Maintenance Specialist, who will provide high quality service to the Marymead Park Community to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for residents.
Essential Responsibilities

  • To ensure all day-to-day grounds/building maintenance and special projects are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with building maintenance
  • Operate power and manual tools and equipment in a correct and safe manner for building and grounds maintenance and repair
  • To provide excellent customer service
  • Beknowledgeablegable with property rules and regulations in order to assist Site manager with enforcing them, beknowledgeablegable with fair housing rules
  • Enter daily maintenance records in a timely and accurate manner using PM software
  • Maintain landscape; lawns, plantings, landscape bark, weed control and fertilization
  • Manage, maintain and repair sprinkler system
  • Assist with turn over vacant units including painting
  • When scheduled assist Site manager with unit inspections, both periodic and annual
  • Make sure walkways are clear of debris and trip hazards
  • To handle emergencies during normal work hours as well as being on call after hours

Skills/Requirements

  • Must have mechanical aptitude, basic maintenance, and landscape skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to correctly and safety operate power and manual equipment and tools for grounds and building maintenance,i.e. pressure washer, chainsaw, lawnmower
  • Able to follow written instructions in English, able to communicate effectively with the public and small groups
  • Willing to carry cell phone 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and response to emergencies in a timely manner
  • Provide a basic set of hand tools to carry with you on the job
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, and own a reliable vehicle; willing and able to drive own vehicle as needed to service the different properties to which you will provide maintenance, provide current proof of insurance at levels specified by the CHIP travel policy
  • Pass a background check/Clean DMV record
